If you ever take some time to wonder around the farmer’s markets on Truro’s Lemon Quay you will find, amongst the plethora of local produce on offer, a friendly smile and a beautiful array of wooden tubs overflowing with a variety of Greek olives from The Cornish Olive Company.

Steve Magill and Erik Verwaaijen came together to form the Cornish Olive Company and officially launched the business in late 2011. Having recently set up production in their brand new 1,500sqft unit in Roche, they experiment with different marinades & blends to produce a delicious selection of tasty olives.

What can you expect from their olives?

Their pitted green Halkidiki olives are marinated with lemon, tarragon and parsley to produce a delicate, fresh flavour
For a kick, their big green Halkidiki olives are stuffed with a piece of red pepper and marinated in a spicy harissa sauce
They have a more-ish mix of pitted green and Kalamata olives marinated with orange, thyme and coriander seed
For garlic lovers, they’ve stuffed Halkidiki olives with pickled garlic and dressed with chopped garlic
Rich in colour they supply juicy whole olives from the Kalamata region in Greece
If you like it HOT!, their Halkidiki olives stuffed with a birds eye chilli and dressed in a spicy harissa sauce will tick the box
