Setting up a recurring order with cornishfoodmarket.co.uk

Since the late 1980's when companies like Slipstream Organics started delivering organic veg boxes in Gloucestershire the veg box model has been very popular with a section of the food buying public. When we set up cornishfoodmarket.co.uk two years ago we looked at the various box schemes available and conducted some market research - the overwhelming conclusion was that while many people appreciate the schemes out there, many more were put off buy the perception of inflexibility - generally delivery is on the same single day every week - and the lack of variety of produce.

We took the decision when planning our business to allow people to order daily and put together whatever they need in their shopping basket BUT, because of the popularity of veg (and fruit) boxes we also have those available.

Setting up a box scheme style 'recurring order' with cornishfoodmarket.co.uk couldn't be simpler. Put the box or boxes that you would like to receive regularly in a basket, you can also add any other goods you want on a regular basis, milk, eggs, meat, fish, bread, drinks, in fact anything from our range. Before confirming the order just click on the recurring order radio button that says 'yes' and then choose the required interval from the drop down list that appears. You have a choice of weekly or every 2, 3 or 4 weeks.

Once the interval is set, click 'Proceed to checkout' as normal - the order will be created as a recurring order - you'll know this has been successful as email confirmations for the first six orders will arrive.

Once these orders have been created it is possible to edit them individually or as a whole - when you make any changes to the order you will be asked if you want the changes to apply to "all occurrences of this order" or "just this order" as shown below.

This system gives you complete control of what each order contains and when it is delivered.

It is possible to cancel a single order or all instances of a recurring order BUT if you are going away for a week or two it is much easier to set up a Holiday break. This will suspend orders while you are on holiday but automatically recommence them on your return.
