It looks impressive doesn't it.

Our latest price comparison shows that you can save almost 10% compared with Asda, nearly 18% compared with Tesco and over 20% compared with Sainsbury's on a £40 basket. The basket contents are the sorts of fresh food items that an average family buys in a normal week - lised below: -

Milk 1ltr Whole
Milk 1Ltr Semi-Skimmed
Free Range Eggs Medium x 6
Loose Baking Potatoes 1.5kg
Loose Carrots 1kg
Loose Broccoli 750g
Loose Onions 1kg
Loose Leeks 500g
Red Cabbage 1kg
Savoy Cabbage x 1
Potatoes 2.5kg bag
Bananas x 4
Cauliflower x 1
Large White Loaf
Silverside of Beef 1.5kg
Dry Cure Back Bacon 500g
Finest Pork Sausages 600g
Granny Smith Apples x 6
Conference Pears x 5

There are a couple of products where the supermarkets beat us - bananas are sold as a 'loss leader' because they are the most popular fruit and supermarket bread is cheaper that the loaf we include from Berryman's Bakery in Redruth - but try a Berryman's loaf and you'll see why it costs a bit more. Bacon, sausages and beef are always difficult to compare across the supermarkets (Asda don't appear to list a really good dry cure bacon) but we think all of our products beat the rivals in a taste test.

This week Tesco have cauliflower on offer - two for £1.30 - great if you need two but ours are Cornish, cut daily and still only 60p - if you want one you just buy one!
