Nice and spice, food to banish that cold.

A great hearty supper would help fight a cold or indeed make you feel a lot better. If you carefully pick a few aromatic ingredients and infuse these all together they will certainly help fight any cold and build your immune defences. If you are unfortunate enough to already have one at least it will help unblock the sinuses!
I suggest trying a great homemade Thai Beef infused Curry – for that homemade cold remedy.
This very bold dish can be loaded with great healthy vegetables and classic ingredients to help alleviate persistent cold symptoms. So add these key highlighted ingredients to your cornishfoodmarket.co.uk shopping Basket this week –
Start by lightly frying an onion, 2 cloves of garlic and your diced Cornish Beef in a little olive oil for a couple of minutes. It’s now a good time to pile in the key stars of the show which will really spice things up!! Grate some ginger, chop some red chilli and lemongrass, all to your desired taste buds, (I say the more the better!).
Once these are all nice and browned, pop in the stock – a tin of coconut milk, some tasty ‘Little Cornish Curry Co Thai Green Sauce‘ and a cup of chicken or vegetable stock and let this bubble away quite happily for 15 minutes.
Whilst this is happening prepare your vegetable – I suggest an aubergine, baby corn and mange tout. Add these and simmer for an additional 10 minutes till tender. Do a taste test, (you might need a little more chilli to properly blow you away). Finally, not to everyone’s taste but I like to add a little ground cinnamon just for flavour, and then serve. Bon appetite!
Enjoy this on a cold winter’s night and sit back and relax, perhaps with a glass of Green Room Ale IPA, perfect drink for a spicy curry.
