Chai Tea
Method
Makes 3 servings.
In a small saucepan, combine the tea bag, the cinnamon stick, and 4 fluid oz water. Bring to the boil and remove from heat. Cover and let stand for 5 minutes. Remove and discard the tea bag and cinnamon stick. Stir in the milk, sugar, vanilla, ginger and cardamom. Cook and stir over a medium heat until mixture is heated through (do not boil). Serve in warmed mugs.
Ingredients
1 black tea bag, the blend of your choice
1 stick cinnamon
16 fluid oz / 480 ml milk
2 tablespoons golden caster sugar or honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
A pinch of ground ginger and a pinch of ground cardamom, according to taste
