Baked apples with cinnamon and raisins
Method
10 minutes preparation time
40-45 minutes cooking time
De-core the apples using an apple corer. Place the apples onto a non-stick parchment in a baking tray. Mix the sugar, the cinnamon and the raisnis or the mixed dried fruit in a bowl. Spoon the sugar and dried fruit mix into the centre of each apple and fill each to the top. Add a knob of butter to the top of the mix. Pour a little water around the base of the apples to cover the base of the dish. Add more during the cooking time if the dish dries out. Place in a pre-heated oven at 200 degrees C for 40-45 minutes or until soft enough to easily pass a knife through the flesh of the apples. Remove and serve with custard or fresh cream.
