Where is it from
All of our products are sourced locally where possible because we believe that sourcing local products from local farmers and suppliers is the right thing to do. We reduce our carbon footprint and provide you with the best that Cornwall has to offer at the right prices for you and our suppliers.
Our fresh fish is caught by Cornish boats working out of Newlyn, St. Ives, Padstow, Fowey and Looe. Matthew Stevens & Son, based in St Ives, fillet the fish to order and pack it overnight to be delivered to you within twenty four hours of being caught. All of our meat is Cornish, our butcher R J Trevarthen's at Roskrow supply many of the County's finest restaurants, the also cut and pack everything fresh to order overnight so that you can be confident of both the provenance and quality of our beef, pork and lamb. Our salad bags are bagged and grown for us by Lizard Leaves at their new farm on Mylor Down. Our bread is baked by three great Cornish craft bakers; BakerTom and Vicky's for organic bread and continental loaves and Berrymans for daily bread, saffron cake and pastries. We’re highlighting the best of what Cornwall has to offer and bringing it straight to your front door!
We have a section on this website dedicated to showcasing our suppliers and telling you their fabulous stories.

In addition to this abundance of local produce we also stock some of the big brands that we know you want to buy and lines that cannot sensibly be sourced in Cornwall or Devon, for example washing powder, shampoo, tins of beans and hot climate fruit like lemons and bananas. We stock these items because we know that if we don’t many customers will shop elsewhere and then our local suppliers lose the essential marketplace that we provide them with.
