Crisp and very juicy without being hard, Braeburn apples have come from nowhere (they were only developed in the 1950's in New Zealand) to become the most popular dessert apple of all. Their overall flavour is sharp and refreshing but with a good balance. The apple is firm and crisp with a clean skin, typically a combination of dark red blush over green. This is an apple that keeps very well in or out of the fridge.
